Not suitable for
Online care has limits. A child with a new high fever, ear pain, breathing trouble or a tummy ache that needs examining is better seen in person. For true emergencies, go straight to the nearest hospital.
Do not wait for an online slot if your child:
- Is struggling to breathe
- Has had a fit
- Is very drowsy or hard to wake
- Shows signs of dehydration
- Is a baby under 3 months with fever
Go to the nearest emergency department.
Tips for a smooth call
Find a quiet, well lit spot, keep a thermometer and your child's weight handy, and write down your questions beforehand.
